How important is woodland?

Trees are incredibly important for a million reasons. They absorb CO2 and turn it into useful things like fruit, wood, leaves. They are home to myriads of creatures, provide shelter, shade and places to climb.

But, they are under threat. Everywhere from massive forests across the globe to a single tree our own backyards, they are all at risk. Read about an entire country where ALL the trees have been cut down.

Planting trees is important, but preserving the ones we already have is doubly so. Although I am active supporting organisations protesting the cutting down of the Amazon forest, HS2 cutting down woodlands this website is about initiatives I have started myself as a small contribution.
