Did you know we have some beautiful moths here in the UK. My personal favourite is the Hummingbird Hawk Moth (photo coming soon).
To encourage a wide range of moths: Plant primrose, tobacco and honeysuckle and don't use pesticides.
Why do we want to encourage them? Because, they are great pollinators and help a lot with pollinating food crops and they also provide a food source for birds.
This photo below was outside my front door, I later found out that he will turn into a Ruby Tiger Moth. They prefer to eat dandelions, so I promptly moved him to his food source, using leaves from my mint plant so not to hurt him and to protect myself as handling them can cause allergic reactions.
